Lakeshore Family Care - Art In the Office

In an effort to support the local art community and provide a novel experience to our clientele, we are donating our office for local artists to display their work. We feel this could be of great benefit to both established as well as budding artists by providing them an additional venue to gain better public exposure.

“Art in the Office” is being offered as a community service and, therefore, Lakeshore Family Care does not receive money either from the artists or from any sales that may occur from their display."

If you are interested in purchasing any of the art on display, please contact the artist directly using the contact information provided on the artists biography form.

We encourage any artists interested in participating in our program to contact our office manager, Jill Venne. Phone (231.672.3100) email (vennej@trinity-health.org)

Christi M. Dreese-Carter

Christi M. Dreese-Carter has been involved with the arts since she was a child. Christi is a native of Spring Lake, Michigan and resides in her hometown with her husband , Jeff, and two young daughters , Kaelyn and Alexa.

She graduated from Aquinas College in 1997 with a Bachelor of Art, emphasis in oil painting. After college , she worked in the framing industry. Today, Christi owns an art gallery and framing business. Often , you can find Christi painting at her easel in her gallery. Christi also has a studio in her home, where you can sometimes find Kaelyn painting beside her.

Inspiration for Christi 's work comes from the lakeshore. The love for the lakeshore has always been a part of her life and is conveyed through her paintings. Christi's paintings come from sketches done at the beach and then brought back to be recreated through her eyes.

Another subject Christi likes to paint is flowers. Bright, abundant flowers are grown at the Carter residence. Christi loves to work with color and shapes that are found in the leaves and petals of the arrangements. In the past year, Christi has experimented with abstraction and found it to be a free form of expression. Color, form and her inner personal experiences are expressed through these mixed media paintings.
