Lakeshore Family Care is a proud member of Mercy General Health Partner’s Primary Care Network.
As members we have access to many resources not usually available to independent primary care offices. While many of these resources benefit our employee’s, some examples that benefit our patients are in office lab, X-ray and dietary and social work consultations. Mercy General Health Partner’s Primary Care Network was the recipient of the Governor’s award of excellence in 2004 & 2005 for improving care in the ambulatory care setting.
MSU-COM Preceptor Clinic
What is a preceptor clinic? The MSU-COM Preceptor Program provides second year medical students with practical experiences in all aspects of health care delivery in private practitioners’ offices. Students occasionally spend time in our office observing and participating in patient care. Dr. Kval and Stempky serve as preceptors, whose responsibilities are to teach, supervise, role model and act as resources to the students. As a patient, you may on occasion see these students in the office or you may even be asked if they could be included in the exam room during your visit. Their presence is always discrete, but if you feel uncomfortable in any way you may simply decline and your exam will be private.
